As promised for the Grandparents,
Here are lots of pics from Sept-Oct of Little Man
Little dude and I had a "pizze" date at Mandola's again.
He loves to take pretend 5 second long "naps" these days. I love how his vocabulary has exploded and he is such a character these days.
We hit up Krispy Kreme for kid's night donut decorating. He was on a sugar high all evening!
For the Hospitality event, I mentioned, G joined me for an evening planning meeting and literally sat by my side for over an hour just playing silently with matchbox cars. The host had them for him to play with and I quickly learned of my boy's new love. I've added cars to his Christmas wish list :)
For his birthday, dude received a set of pattern blocks from Gran and Grandad. We use them mostly for color sorting, at this time. But one evening I decided to mix it up and give him a shape matching card. He blew me away. I had no idea he was ready for acutal learning stuff.. anyhow, he matched everything but the triangles and quarter-circle up perfectly the on his first attempt. It made the math teacher in me quite excited!
He has become a hat lover. He picks out one of D's hats to wear each day. I totally love it and he looks like such a dude, and not a baby.
First ice cream date. Yum yum!
Note to Austinites-Baskin Robbins has family night on Tuesday's. Kid's scoops are $1 and Adults are $1.50 :)
I'd made one of my mom's chicken dish recipes for dinner recently. G enjoyed it. Then woke up the next morning an instead of asking for "na nos" (cereal) or "toast" he asked for "chik-n". I obliged. He ate up every last bit of it!
In Daddy's hat, being silly. And, yes, wearing pajamas during a "cott-e" (coffee) run with mommy.
At the Park : )
He has a couple latch boards that we made. It's fun watching him work with them.
I also made him a buckle book for a road trip we took this summer. He has become quite the expert at manuevering with clasps and hardware :)
