Play for All, Sweet Berry & Austin Zoo Adventures

Recently, I finished up my work on a hospitality equipping event our church hosted.  So lots of  "free time" (i.e. nap times) have been spent preparing for it... and blog posts have been few and far between.  So, here is a catch-up of late September and October happenings around here : )

PLAY FOR ALL PARK
We (finally) checked out Play for All park and LOVE IT.  We will be regulars!  It is soooooo cool.

SWEET BERRY: Pumpkin Patch
We vistied Sweet Berry Farms over OU/TX weekend while Daddy cheered on OU... We went with friends from church and had a great time.  Next year G will be a great age for all the awesomeness they offer.
Best Buddy Ella
Touring a fire truck!

ZOO
We also visited the Austin Zoo.  Another place that I had no idea was sooooo great.  I really love it.  There were so many animals and they were awake, moving around and just a few feet from us.   It made for a great trip.  Next time I'll bring his zoo book so I'll know better if he is connecting the animals he sees to those we read about.
We were followed around by a peacock all morning.
And, got to talk to a macaw!  It said hi, hello, and bye bye to us.  He loved it.  I loved it.  Pure greatness!  I really wish I knew what it was like to have lived in the Garden... I think I would have liked living in peace with all these beautiful creatures.
I've never been so close... Ahhh!  I'm not using a zoom on these pictures... we were literally that close!  Kinda cool!
Have you ever seen a pig so big?
Being that the Austin Zoo is a rescue zoo, all of the animals have a pretty cool story.  Most of the stories are posted on the fences.  This pig was a 4H project in Iowa and the young girl did not want the pig to be slaughtered later so her dad donated it to the zoo.  Love that :)
