Last Saturday Afternoon
After putting G down for his nap I started the timer for 2 hours of work time. It took about an hour to clean the garage floor and walls using the shop vac and wet rags.
During his nap I had applied the first coat of paint on the walls as high as I could reach without the ladder. There are quite a few random holes that I painted over knowing that I need D's help to patch in the future.
Evening
When little man got up from his nap I tried to organize some of the tools but was pretty wiped so we played inside together intstead. When G went to bed for the night I applied the second coat of paint and started to get really excited by the progress. I'm guessing everything will need 3 coats and then some touch-ups here and there.
By the end of Day 1 I'd made great progress painting. Definitely did not finish it like I thought possible, but great progress still!
I am not sure how much time I will put into the garage beyond painting it, but the possibilities are dancing around in my head! At a minimum, this impromptu project has morphed into my new weekend project for the next month. I am committed to finishing painting D's half of the garage and then hope to get to the laundry room, workstation, and yard tool areas.

I am a little overwhelmed but very very excited!! Who knew a garage update would make me giddy!
Last, but not least...
When D arrived home Sunday morning he was SUPER excited! And surprised!!!!
Mission Accomplished!!!!
I'll follow up with progress as it comes!
