Baby Girl Wreath

Gavin was 3 months old when he worked on his first craft project with me.  We made a special gift for his buddy Ella to celebrate her birth!

I really love this wreath and thought I'd share it.
I wrapped a Styrofoam wreath in yarn, made white satin flowers pinned on with jewel tone straight pins.  Then scoured our yard for a cool branch to perch a few birds on.  The branch is secured with floral wire and the birds are hot glued on.  To jazz up the birds I sprinkled on some Martha Stewart glitter.
When we got the text that the baby Ella was born I attached the pink felt pennants and chipboard letters.  And added her birth stats to the card stock leaves.
Lots of fun!

  1. And the beautiful wreath still hangs in Ella's nursery today. She loves it! It's right over her changing table, so with each diaper change she lets out a tweet tweet, which actually sounds more like a "ka-ka" thanks to the birds in the walmart parking lot!
