Machine Gun Kisses

Seeing that 2011 has drawn to a close I wanted to drop a note and say--

I know this blog has been heavy on pictures of Gavin and even though we are in awe of each of his new milestones, it may seem like overkill for others. I will add though--I have wanted to be a mom since I first met baby dolls and even with all that anticipation, having your own child is the most incredible and inspiring adventure! David and I regularly comment on how it "is so much cooler than we expected".

When I started this blog we posted updates on the remodeling of our home and then it evolved into baby central... in 2012 I plan to bring over the posts from my cooking/crafts blog that I started a few years ago and manifest this blog into a snapshot of each of our lives. My hope is that the blog is something that helps us stay connected with our family that lives miles away and also a fun way to share with our friends what we are up to. It's a virtual scrapbook of our family's history and never intended to be flashy or disingenuous.

I called this post machine gun kisses, a term I use with Gavin when I give him lots of kisses in succession; the term butterfly kisses seemed less endearing for a little guy. As 2012 opens full of possibility and adventure we send out hugs and machine gun kisses to all of our family and friends who love us, support us, and walk thru life with us. We are forever grateful for you and the time we get to spend together.
