In June 2010 I started Flour Girl which was a blog of cooking and crafting projects I worked on. After the arrival of Gavin, Flour Girl has been without any new posts :) So, instead of fighting a losing battle, I have decided to bring over posts from Flour Girl to this blog!
Over the course of the next couple of weeks I will import Flour Girl recipe posts--most flour girl postings will file into 2010's archive.

Just for fun, here are some pictures from some of my first experiences in the kitchen! When I was young, my mom started teaching me how to bake. Over the years we made many things together, and when my sister, Stephanie, was born, she joined in on the fun too!

Thinking back to my first blog entry--I knew nothing about blogging and actually wrote the first handful of posts in Edit HTML code before finding the simpler Compose option ; ) I am still a very amateur photographer with a camera costing a pittance compared to those many people have. Maybe one day I will step it up a notch and get a fancy camera--until then, this is my humble family blog!
