The flash still throws him for a loop.Hence, the wide-eye look
I was standing off to the side trying to get him to smile... but he abhors the flash...
This month...
* L-O-V-E-S his jumperoo! In fact, I may be understating that... he looks like Lord of the Dance when he's in it.
* He holds his head steady when sitting up or sitting on my hip.* Can sit up with the help of his arms boosting him.
* Rolls over and out of his boppy and kick-n-play seat.
* Rolled off of the couch for the first time : (
* Is fine with rolling onto his belly during play time... but screams if it happens mid-nap or during the night-time.
* Has learned to fold/roll in his 4 fingers when sucking on his thumb; they used to cover his nose or poke him in the eyes ; )
* He scratches the couch cushions or his bedroom sheets anytime he is lying on them... it's a wide-handed attempted grasp of different things, but it makes the funniest sound and has become quite endearing.
* Sleeps like a champ from 7:30 pm to 6:30 am, takes a 30 minute morning nap and a 2 hour afternoon nap.
* He responds to me singing to him no matter how grumpy he is.
* He still lets me cradle him in my arms occasionally, but usually squirms into a position to look over my shoulder.
* When I leave the family room to wash dishes he will watch me through the bar/cut-out in the wall between the 2 rooms.
* He responds to his name being called by David or I with cranking his neck around and smiling.
* He notices other babies now and will watch them closely.
* Has fallen asleep in his jumperoo numerous times.
* Touches our faces and mouths often and has started to reach for our food
* Laughs when we bounce him in our arms but does not like being lifted high in the air.
* His hair seems to be lightening up still. It's a pretty blonde color and wavy.
