Hi guys! Good to see you again.
Stop! I have something special to share with you
Here, let me pull it out of my pocket
Mom made a sign for me to show you
Let me grab my teddy bear and then I will reveal...
I'm 11 months old!
* Mr. G is more curious
* He has started clapping and waving
* He has developed a little bit of shyness.
* Gavin eats a morning bottle, breakfast, lunch, afternoon bottle, dinner and a bedtime bottle. He is eating all table finger foods with an occasional pureed meal and 6-7 oz for each of his bottles. He is transitioning to a sippy cup easily and is drinking about 4 oz of water a day.
* Over the last couple of months I have been feeding G his food. He could pick food up but did not like me pushing his hand towards his mouth. Then, a couple of days ago he just started feeding himself. It was a fun surprise! (I'll post a video of this soon!)
* He started crawling at 10.5 months and started pulling up onto things about a week later. (I'll post a video of this soon!)
* We stayed with my sister's family for a couple of days and G enjoyed some good 'ole bonding with his cousins.* I was out of town for a weekend and David and G enjoyed some male bonding as well as a fun play date with other babies.
* Seeing that little man will be a toddler in a month we have started doing some birthday party shopping!
* G surprised me this month by trying to manuever out of the rocking chair in his room. He has done it independently a few times and fallen trying to do it a few more times.
* G has started doing a
* G-Dog's favorite toys are his keys, wooden disks, and he likes to knock over towers of blocks that we build. He also likes grabbing for pur phones or the tv remote.
* This month he has been swimming a few times and seems to really like it. The last time we were in a pool he kept trying to push away from me and back float on his own... I am not exagerating... crazy little guy. I tried to let him think he was doing it by himself but was a little uncomfortable about water getting into his ears so it was short lived.
* His favorite food this month was a garlicy lemon pasta I made for our July 4th cookout. (I must say that I loved it too!) Dude ate it up and has enjoyed leftovers of it. I think it is the food that encouraged him to start feeding himself since he would reach for more of it quicker than I could feed it to him.
* Luckily for me, little guy still enjoys to snuggle a lot!
* G often watched my mouth when I am talking, my guess is to learn how to pronounce words.
* He will respond when a favorite toy, or my car keys, are taken from him. He will either reach for the object and twist out of our arms, or he will throw a little baby fit...
* G has a fun sense of humor. He laughs at jokes that I play with him, such as moving a bottle/toy close to him and then away and then back again. It is quite fun that he picks up on these things.
* He has a new tendency to run his fingers over his lips when he is upset so that funny sound is made inadvertantly.
* Gavin is napping for longer this month than before. He has a 1 hour+ morning nap, 2 hour afternoon nap and has added an early evening cat nap.
* Little man is very conversational and continues to be super easy going! However, he now becomes distressed when I leave the room or if I feed another baby a bottle in his church nursery class.
Looking Back...
