Wednesday: I shortened the length of the PVC blinds in the breakfast nook today (they were custom cut for width but left too long by the prior owner) and purchased the PVC blinds for the dining room and guest bedroom windows. I'm getting excited about removing the black plastic from our front windows---and I bet our neighbors will be happy about it too :)
Thursday: David hung the dining room blinds.
Monday: David loaded and hauled off our first load of trash from the remodel. We expect it to take a few loads :)
Saturday: David worked on cleaning/organizing the garage and also added the door to my laundry room pantry cabinet. He then built the cabinet for the garage that we are using to store cookie cutters and canned goods :)
Peanut's Crib
Tuesday: David put together the crib for Peanut's room and I washed the bedding! We are officially full-term now, so we are excitedly awaiting Peanut's debut!
* help from friends
Wednesday: My friend Haley came by today and helped me wash windows! She also was a champ and dusted off the ledge above our kitchen cabinets. Good times!
Friday: Haley and I went through the seasonal decor items and sorted them to have stored in the attic. Haley was awesome and also cleaned out some of my old classroom tubs that had been marked up with pencils and markers by students... the tubs are white again and ready for use :)
* random
My goal this week was to finish unpacking and to put all of the unpacked items away. I also made the lofty goal of finding places to store all of the random stuff- like luggage and leaves to tables and old teacher lesson plans/supplies. I am happy to say that I made great progress! I guess the fact that I decided to organize/spring clean while unpacking is what I can attribute to "nesting"... but then again I love to organize.
This week I also put together a few boxes of donations to take to Goodwill and a box of old teacher things to give to to teacher-friends. My time Un-packing/Organizing/Spring Cleaning is coming to an end--which means fun time prepping for Peanut is around the corner!
