Since learning about our little one's impending arrival we have called him/her Peanut.
When my 4 year old niece learned we were calling the baby Peanut she was immediately troubled by the prospect that someone may be planning to eat the baby (because the name Peanut seems a lot like peanuts)
She was quickly assured that the name had nothing to do with the food that one would eat-- it was just a nickname. (cute story... even now when she tells people her aunt is having a baby, she will tell them what we call the baby, followed by "but they aren't going to eat it").
So, with house renovations winding down and most of our boxes unpacked I am starting to have more time to plan fun things for Peanut's arrival. Granted I have been dreaming-up ideas for a while, but now I am getting to put things into action!
One of the ideas I have is to bake cookies to welcome Peanut into the world. Although this may confuse my niece... these are the type of peanuts one would actually eat- in honor of welcoming Peanut, the baby, into the world :)
