CABINETS
This week I finished unpacking/organizing the kitchen. I added some new containers for sugar/flour, and various containers to organize utensils. I also transitioned to a basket system for our pantry. I have baskets for salty snacks, sweet snacks, breakfast foods, pasta/bread items. It makes retrieving items much easier.
Saturday: I installed the cabinet door knobs! David will drill for the drawer pulls next week.

* update bathrooms (refinish walls, replace toilets, fixtures and faucets)

Tuesday: we and our neighbors shared the cost to hire a group of men to dig holes and put steel posts into concrete for us. We will put the fencing up soon. So glad the hardest part is complete!

* furniture/storage
Friday: I purchased 2 steel shelving units from Home Depot. The small one will go in our coat closet to store umbrellas, boots, hats/gloves, and board games. The larger unit will go in a larger closet to hold our china collection and various entertaining things (vases, candles, trays...).
Saturday:
*David showed me how to put the steel units together so the task was easy! I put together both units and added shelf liner to the larger unit. The larger unit measures 72x48x18. Instead of building a 72-inches-tall unit I turned the unit into two 36-inches-tall units and am happy with the result! Now we have lots of new storage in the lower half of the closet and room above them to hang tablecloths.
*David redesigned our master closet today!!! The closet originally had 2 perpendicular rods in place and only enough room for one of our wardrobes. I have anxiously awaited this closet's transition so I can move my clothes from the baby's room into our bedroom closet :) To add functionality to the closet he moved the 2 existing rods to higher in the closet and added a set of 2 more perpendicular rods below them. And best of all, he also built a vertical storage unit for our shoes. We long debated the merits of purchasing an elfa-like unit or him building something from wood. He choose wood and built the unit this afternoon. He has installed supports for the new rods, installed the shoe shelving, and added a fresh coat of white paint over the new additions!

Installation
Friday evening we went to The Oasis on Lake Travis for dinner. This restaurant is known as the "Sunset Capital of Texas" so I was excited to check out the great views. The Mexican food was yummy and the scenery was beautiful!
