Our trip to Iowa was planned for the summer that both of my Grandmothers were having birthday party celebrations. So, we got to see lots of Aunts and Uncles in town for the celebration.
Here are some of the highlights:
During the days Sis and I took our littles to a neat park for them to play.
It was G's first time to make it all the way up and down a slide without help or coaxing.
We also went to a really neat ice cream store (imagine the eyes of the kiddos when they found out we were checking out ANOTHER ice cream shop!) and we scoured the city to find a purveyor of Diet Cherry Coke (for sis)... not as easy as one would think ; )
Much of the time we spent playing at my Aunt Alicia and Uncle Tom's house.
Gavin thoroughly enjoyed playing with all Zach's toys!
I have some cute videos of the bunch that I'll try to post soon.
The next day we spent on my Uncle's farm. I'll post those pics in a follow-up post ; )
On our last day in Iowa we celebrated Grandma's birthday with all her kids, grandkids and great grandkids. It was good to all be together.
My mom is one of five children and there are 14 grandkids and 9 great grandkids on this side of the family. A big group for sure!
The littles tried to break open a pinata at the party.
We are so happy to have gotten to spend time with our family in Iowa!
