Just like everything, it takes me nearly forever to pick something out and like it enough to buy it... For over a year I've been searching for a dining room light fixture.
Since we have a long table I was hoping to find a long, narrow light fixture for the room. But after months of searching I can say that they only make that sort of fixture for gazillionaires since everything I liked was way out of our price range.
During our drive to Oklahoma for Christmas David expressed that he wanted us to get a light for the dining room. With all the possible projects in the house I'd assumed this one would be months before happening so I was excited to hear he was ready to install something! So, I jumped right on finding something when we got back to Austin.
Months ago I had settled on a light at Pottery Barn that was beautiful but it was also super pricey and would only be on sale once next year---and they were thinking it would be in the fall. So instead I decided to look for a knock-off version of it. I did not find a long rectangular version to match PB's light, but I did find the round chandelier at Lowe's and for much much less! So, I showed the light to D and he liked it. I bit the bullet and bought them on Friday morning. And by Saturday evening David had installed them and I felt like the luckiest girl in the world! I LOVE them and am soooooooooooo soooooooo sooooo excited to have a light in the dining room, and beautiful one at that!

The third hole is not a mistake... it's where the previous owner's light hung and we need to patch that spot in the ceiling :)
