Corbin :: 4 Months

September 7th

Corbin has certainly started to come into himself this month. He seems so much bigger to me, and I am still making my way around learning his likes/dislikes as he startes to settle into a little bit of a sleep routine. He started trying to kick his way out of the rock-n-play so he is sleeping exclusively in his crib now. He started rolling onto his belly this month, and is now able to do a full roll from back to belly to back.
His big brother adores him. Gavin asks quite often if "Corbin James can walk yet?"
"Mommy, it my turn to hold Corbin."
C loves this game.  It's a Gavin original.
Brother shares his hats with C -- usually they are placed directly onto the face ; )
Corbin is so smiley and watches G with great admiration.

At 4.5 months I started sleep training dude to help him ease into sleep rather than being super sad and overtired, which was a pattern we had established. He is doing great with sleep training, and sleeping for longer stretches, both at night and during naps.  I have not found a set routine for him, like I had with Gavin.  But we are working our way there.  C often sleeps from 8/9pm-6am, but sometimes just 5am.  And other times from 6pm-4am... we are a work in progress ; ) All that to say, he isn't stuggling with the same bedtime crankiness that we used to have because he was overtired.  Seeing that I am managing 2 boys schedules and still figuring out what helps calm little guy, I think we are moving in the right direction!
Other than going to the park, getting outside for walks is my most favorite thing to do with the boys.

We visited Norman last month and C had great fun with his family there!
C's first time in a swing.  He seems to enjoy it as well as being held high in the air like he is flying.
Babies are the cutest sleepers.
C's favorite lounging and sleeping position often has his neck cranked back like that... it is funny how all babies are different ; )
