Turkey Table Runner :: Thanksgiving Tradition

So I decided to start one for our family. 

I purchased a linen table runner at Hobby Lobby (in the fabric section). 

At full price it is $9.99 but I used a 40% off coupon, making this a bargain project!

I pre-washed the fabric and machine dried it.

 I sorted thru my paint for fall colors.  I started on the far end of one side with the idea that we will add the kiddos handprints to it each year.  I did it along the border, also thinking perhaps it would wrap around to face the other side of the table one day. 

Using a tiny tipped paint brush, I added brown legs, black eyes and noses, and finally the year and our names to it.

 

I love it as it is now, but know it will only become more special as the years go on and the handprints grow!
