Christmas Crafting

I forget how much I enjoy crafting until I set aside time to do it.  I didn't make anything intricate this year.  In fact, some of it may not actually be "crafting", but it was fun in any case! : )
I framed a Mary Engelbreit print from an old calendar of mine.  This has been on my crafting wish-list for way to long, for how simple it is.

We made bags of fall potpourri at my last MOPS meeting (one clementine, 3 tablespoons of cloves and 2 cinnamon sticks).  Super simple.  And honestly, David is the one who unwrapped it and simmers it each evening... Which I kinda love.

Also Mary Engelbreit.  But this time modge podged a smaller calendar print of hers to one of those 80 cent pieces of wood at Hobby Lobby that I painted red.

I started our 2013 ring of cards.  It's super simple and something I've done since we got married.  I just keep all invitations and holiday cards in the white basket all year.  Then, in December I hole punch them and ring them together.  It's pretty lovely, and a nice way to not 'waste' the cards we receive.
I've had this cranberry wreath for a while. It hangs on a door in our kitchen. I added a tart pan with chalkboard paint on it (also from Hobby Lobby), along with a little Christmas message ; )

Instead of one large tree, we have a few small trees scattered about our home.  The tree in our room is now our family tree.  It only has 3 ornaments on it... but one day it will have lots and lots of grandchildrens' names too, perhaps :))))  These ornaments are small canvas' I got at the craft store (2x2 inches), painted red and decorated with a paint pen.  I stapled ribbon to each to act as the hanger.
In addition to painting canvas' I painted a few pieces of wood.  Both for the ME art print and for our family ornament this year.  It's my first year to make an ornament for us, but I really enjoyed it.
It's a picture modge podged onto the wood with ribbon stapled to the back for a hanger.  Using a sharpie marker, I wrote on the backside a list of favorite memories we have from the year!

Not so much a craft, as just something I wanted to do... Its a jar of jingle bells with a candle in the middle.  It is by FAR G's most favorite thing this season.
 "jingle jingle jingle"

He is always climbing up to take a few out and ring them.  Super cute!
