Spring Vacation

We visited David's family in Oklahoma in early April.  His sister, Liz, and her husband, Peter, had just welcomed a sweet baby girl into their family!  Miss Claire is such a cutie!!!
While in Oklahoma his parents and sister, Anna, hosted us and set up a vacation setting in their garage apartment.  It was so fun seeing all of the adorable details!

I love flowers and a lit candle!
Along with chocolate covered coffee beans for D & I and yogurt bites for G!
A picnic basket ready and with D's favorite childhood cookies.
He saw them before I did and opened the package immediately.  And when we were packing to go home he asked that I made sure to get more of them for the road trip.
A stocked fridge
with a menu full of delicious options.
And even Cheerios for G with the matching bowl! Now, that detail is sooooo adorable to me!
They even put magnets on the fridge for our little magnet lover.
He also loved the stool to peer out the window.
While in Nomran we had a fun cookout with D's family and it was the first time I saw G chasing his cousin, Emma, around trying to give her dandelions. He even gave her a hug! Considering he had been super ornery that day it was a nice change to see him relaxing and playing with her.

We also had a chance to walk around campus and check out some of our favorite places and visit my old sorority house.  We also checked out some new places.  Campus Corner looks very different than it did 6 years ago!

Some of my favorite stops:

* Kidoodles the coolest kid's toy store I've ever been in.  I left having mentally spent way too much money on cute toys for G... maybe one day or maybe just inspiration for Amazon shopping ; )

* Sweets & Spurs miniature pies that are delicious

* Crimson & Whipped Cream coffee shop with the most delicious turtle bar cookie!!!!!

* The Diner: it was good but cramped

* Railhead Diner (in Purcell) was definitely worth the trip. Simple but tasty breakfast food.  I'll be back.  I also want to check it out on a Monday when they are closed but open up under a different name with a new menu... I hear it's good stuff :)

Tomorrow I will post about our trip to the zoo in OKC!
