Not everyone likes bluebonnets

You may have seen the super sweet pictures my sister took
of her children in a field of bluebonnets.
Adorable. Precious. Lovely.
I was hoping for the same thing when I took G out for pictures last week.

Back story:
Last week Gavin and I spent a day taking Spring pictures. We had a morning session in our backyard that worked out fantastically. In the afternoon I planned for us to take pictures in a field of bluebonnets. Unfortunately for both of us, Gavin was on a nap strike that afternoon. I waited until 5 pm and decided to venture out. He did not seem sleepy, and the rain had stopped so I thought the lighting for pictures would be lovely... Also, I had a coupon for Shutterfly cards that was going to expire that evening. Anyhow, we went out, and just our luck he decided to fall asleep just as I was parking in the field. I decided to try and power-through and get some pictures. This is what I ended up with...

It started out with an interest in the flowers,
But, the myriad of butterflies caught him off guard.
Then, five minutes later, he'd had enough.
I promise, he really is the sweetest little boy!

I love his facial expressions! You would have thought I had put him back in a pumpkin...
We will try again next year :)
