Valentine's Day has always been my MOST favorite holiday!
My passion for it probably started because my dad did a great job making it a special day when I was young. I will always remember him bringing a rose to my classroom when I was in 5th grade!
Also, I love seeing people wear festive clothes, exchange homemade cards, and revel in the excitement of the day. On a day like today, champagne flows, chocolates and flowers are everywhere, and it seems like people go out of their way to be a little bit nicer... I think any day that brings people together in celebration, excitement, happiness, love... is a day to enjoy!
Even when I have not had a valentine, I've liked knowing ladies all over the place are getting something special.
To me it's sad/cynical to consider it a Hallmark holiday. I prefer to enjoy it as a day dedicated to the best human emotion/action. I find it inspiring, joyful, and exhilarating to celebrate love. And, as a Christian, love is one of the biggest motivators in life (God is Love. We can love others because He first loved us. from the Bible's 1 John 4:19).
I hope your day, with or without a valentine, is a great day of love for you!

As for me...
A few days ago I snapped some pictures of G for Valentine cards 
And we surprised David at his office with some valentine cookies.
Then, this morning my littlest valentine and I went on a coffee date.
And tonight my greatest valentine and I are going out for dinner!
