We are heading out of town for our spring family vacation/staycation so I thought I'd share this wreath since it's a happy day!
In the fall of 2011 I made this wreath for my sister. I had enough time to make the wreath but ran out of time to post it to the blog!
This wreath, Ella's bird wreath, and my heart wreath are my most favorite wreaths to have crafted. I may have a slight addiction for wreath making!
It is a Styrofoam wreath wrapped in basic white yarn with a fluffy textured white yarn layered on top. Then, I made a few dozen satin flowers (tutorial here) and pinned them onto the wreath with straight pins. I totally skipped the step of sewing the layers of satin to each other and adding a jeweled center. Instead I just cut the satin, singed the edges, stacked it and then pinned it onto the wreath.
Then, I added the felt banner with chipboard letters.
Simple and lovely!
