A few years ago, while expecting our first little one, we decided to skip the gender scan and just wait to be surprised at delivery. Come delivery day, from his first cries I KNEW Gavin was a boy. I could tell in the cry. It was beautiful and shocking that a cry could be masculine.
From day one, and now a couple years later - I am in love with having a son. It has been the greatest surprise to get to experience the boy-side of the world. There is just something about the thrill of a rascally boy. I've told D time and again that G has opened a whole new world for me. AND, that I would love a house full of little boys. Of course, a little girl would melt my heart a dozen different ways... I just never knew a little boy would too!
This time around we opted to find out the gender of Baby #2.
And, it's a
BOY
We are totally stoked!
I wasn't sure if finding out would hold the same excitement as waiting did the first time. But, it turned out to be super awesome and I think it was my most favorite day of the whole year. I've never seen myself as a 'cry during the ultrasound' sort of gal. But, I did. Mostly, because the scan showed he is growing well and looking healthy. But, also because I couldn't believe we were getting to have another little rascal. I'm over the moon excited to meet him!
Part of me can't believe I will soon have have 2 little dude in tow. Having children is such an adventure. And I definitely feel like 2 dudes will make our adventure quite wonderful.
I can't wait to see how May Baby is similar and different from both G and D.
So, here is a cheer to a new chapter starting this spring. We are very much looking forward to May Baby.
