Back in November I decided to bite the bullet and set up a booth at a Christmas bazaar my MOPS group hosted.
Years ago I started Flour Girl, a baking and hospitality blog. I have not worked on new posts since G's birth but many times I've toyed around with the idea of bringing it back to life and creating an etsy store tied to it. When this bazaar popped on my radar I decided to run with it and have some fun.
For the bazaar I decided to sell my prayer cards, homemade frozen cookie doughs, and an awesome dry mix for a chocolate dessert cheese ball. Since the bazaar gave me a deadline I had the extra motivation to finish tweaking the recipe!
:: my booth ::
I used a burlap-y shower curtain for the table covering. I had white poms in my ribbon stash and I made the pink and gray ones using yarn. Everything else are things I have on hand.
Little guy was a prince, as usual, patiently waiting for me while I set-up and tore down the booth.
I had lots of fun preparing for this event and learning about starting a business... Oh, so much work! I covered this venture with loads of prayer and it was so wonderful to see answers and guidance from the Lord along the way and afterwards. I laugh at how knuckle-headed I can be and how many things He showed me about trusting Him during this process :)
I have since opened an etsy store.
and the Prayer Cards are here
