2 year olds are awesome

Mine has been exhausting too.  But mostly awesome.

My sister reminded me the other day that each morning she gets to choose to be tired or have joy...  Amen, sister... I have been tired lately.  I definitely need to remember to choose joy.

G has been up to lots of fun stuff lately, not to mention he will be a big brother VERY soon!  We are all waiting expectantly to meet baby brother.  It's hard to believe today we  have a toddler and in less than 2 weeks we will have a toddler and a newborn baby.  It is just SO exciting!

Lately in G's world...

watching hockey with daddy
playing with his friend Susie -- he thinks taking the pacifier in and out is a game
watching his fav video about baby animals (a baby genius series)
singing a song and directing me as we sing... he has directed me like a choir for as long as I can remember and I have no idea where he picked it up from.  By guess is BSF... little dude is a sponge for all of their awesomeness.
Waiting excitedly at the doctor's office with me.  He made himself a little play zone of chairs, toys and books ; )
\
He is just too cute with his new love for putting his hands in his pockets.
watching daddy play ball and having a picnic
on a mommy-son date night -- trying to twist up his spaghetti noodles ; )
He loves getting a towel swaddle and a towel "hat" after bath times.  I just love the snuggles!
And because he doesn't have enough natural spunk I caved in and let him taste my coffee ; )
He loved it.
First night in his big boy bed.  The transition went beautifully.
bugs bugs bugs
all over the place, all the time
so is the life a little boy
he is a great helper -- in particular with putting up and sorting silverware
On our first yogurt date.  Dude liked the "eye-cream" but the candy was the real star of the show.  He loves m&m's, gummy worms and the maraschino cherry on top!
Daddy and G took a father-son trip to the sports store to check out equipment.  Dude came home with a bat and ball... and the PROUDEST look on his face about his new bat.  I had never seen him so excited and pleased with himself ; )
We took one last pre-baby brother trip to the Thinkery.  Dude loved it, again!
My two boys working hard and building stuff...
Easter egg hunt with buddies... he loves little chocolate eggs.
