30 Year Wedding Anniversary Party

2 years ago my husband's parents celebrated their 30th Wedding Anniversary!

To celebrate that anniversary we hosted a dinner party. I made pink and white desserts since his mom's wedding colors were white with touches of pink.

I used pink satin fabric to create a small table runner for the dessert bar.

I choose white lilies and pink peonies for the floral arrangements. I like the flower market at Whole Foods; they have a large assortment of flowers year round and the flowers are reasonably priced.

For dinner we served Ina Garten's Barefoot Contessa recipe of Chicken with 40 Cloves and for dessert I made large vanilla cupcakes with white buttercream icing and mini vanilla cupcakes with pink buttercream icing. Both cupcakes are topped with small fondant flowers I made the day before the party. Additionally, I made sugar cookies shaped like wedding cakes, sugar cookies topped with their wedding picture and pink cake truffles (or cake "pops" as Bakerella calls them)!

  1. Even months later, it is still such a blessing to look at the beautiful party you had for us. The cupcakes must be the prettiest I've ever seen. Love you! Leslie
